About the Presenter: 
 

Dr. Grothues is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Dripping Springs, Texas. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993 and completed a post-doctoral master of science degree in clinical psychopharmacology (MSCP) in 2001. She taught at the University of Texas at Tyler from 1995-2002 and has maintained a thriving general practice for ages 10 and up, with a strong cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment. Dr. Grothues has been involved in the Texas Psychological Association for twenty years and has served on the TPA Board of Trustees, Committee Chair of the TPA Convention Committee twice, President of the TPA PAC board, and was TPA President during the 2017 Legislative session when TSBEP was undergoing sunset review. She continues to be involved in the Grassroots and Legislative Committee efforts to protect the standards for our profession.

Meeting Location and Parking: 

The meeting will take place at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center (1900 University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705). The CAPA meeting room will be on the second floor overlooking the restaurant and is glassed in. Go through the restaurant and take a right to the stairs to the second floor, to Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 or go to the end of the buffet line and then take the elevator to the second floor and the meeting room is right there. You can also access the new meeting rooms 1 and 2 via the "grand stairway” to the second floor and going past the length of the restaurant on the floor below.   

There is a parking garage in the hotel, or you can use metered street parking if you prefer. 

Cancellations: Cancellations must be received no later than 3 business days prior to the event in order for a refund to be processed. Cancellations received after that time will have a refund processed.

Please note online registration will close at 5pm on the Thursday prior to the meeting. In order to expedite certificate distribution following monthly meetings, we request that you pre-pay online no later than noon on the Thursday before the meeting. If you prefer to register by check, please mail your payment to CAPA @ PO Box 1448, Cedar Park, TX 78630 postmarked no later than the Monday prior to the meeting. Those who pre-register as noted will receive expedited PD certificate distribution. On-site registrants will be processed within 7 business days. All PD certificates will be emailed to signed in attendees.
